‘Tis the season for noticing signs of dementia. A recent survey found that family members are reluctant to speak to a loved one about concerns of their loved one’s dementia. Often, family members wait over a year before approaching the loved one.
Over Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New years, families reunite and spend significant, quality time together. During those new experiences, many recognize significant changes in their loved one. However, it may be difficult to to know if these changes point to Alzheimers and dementia.
